We are looking to hire a senior developer with experience building financial software and who is excited by the idea of writing, supporting and maintaining globally distributed systems for the financial services industry. This role will give you the opportunity to work directly with our large institutional clients and partners to provide technical direction and support to their use of LUSID, and being central to determining the future direction of the LUSID product.


Our team's focus is creating exemplar content for our clients. We work with them to ensure they get the correct benefits and solutions from LUSID as well as creating reference implementations and software development kits for LUSID and our marketplace partners.

Key responsibilities: 


We’re looking to hire a senior developer with experience building financial software and who is excited by the idea of writing, supporting and maintaining globally distributed systems for the financial services industry.


This role will give you the opportunity to work directly with our large institutional clients and partners to provide technical direction and support in their use of LUSID, and being central to determining the future direction of the LUSID product.


What skills, experience and qualifications we require: 


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills  and the ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences as you will be facing off to a range of clients on a daily basis. You will also have experience running software projects with a multitude of stakeholders across multiple time-zones. You will be responsible for providing guidance and mentoring to junior colleagues and participating in regular knowledge sharing sessions. This role will give you the opportunity to develop ideas, add your expertise and be central to determining the future direction of the software product.For this role we require development experience with C# and Python within the last 3 years, and knowledge of Financial Services products, Risk/Performance platforms or experience of working within Asset Management.


Our key technologies are C# (.NET Core), NUnit and a Postgres persistence layer, hosted in Kubernetes and Docker on AWS. We also make use of Python, Go and React where appropriate. As we work in an informal, agile environment we are also looking for candidates who are genuinely excited about what we are doing.

 Our solution is open, API first and developer friendly – a true first for the asset management industry.  You can see what our team is busy building – we’ve published APIs for all functions publicly on Github., and released Software Development Kits for developers in five languages (C#, Java, Javascript, Python, Angular).

 

LUSID is just the start; we are adding a data virtualisation product and looking into spinning out our entitlements, research and event sourcing processes.
