Job Title: Engineer

We are recruiting for a graduate to initially join our Web Development team however you will have the opportunity to rotate into our other Engineering teams during your time at FINBOUNRE.

The Web Development team are responsible for developing and designing several websites, enhancing end user experience and ensuring the responsiveness of our applications. Working within a broad team structure alongside exceptional designers and product managers, you must be self-motivated and inquisitive - keeping up to date with the ever-changing landscape of web development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build static and dynamic web front ends using Angular and other frameworks
  • Work on improving LUSID web API using .NET Core
  • Use best development pactices such as unit, e2e testing and code reviews
  • Optimise, refactor and document existing code
  • Take initiative and work effectively with limited supervision at times

What skills, experience and qualifications we require:

  • Recently graduated with a STEM degree
  • Understanding of web development (HTML / CSS and JavaScript etc)
  • Knowledge of at least one backend language would be an advantage (C#, python, PHP etc)
  • Common coding patterns & concepts (MVC, OOP etc)
  • An ability to work in teams and learn quickly
  • Above all, a passion for new technologies, especially web technologies
