Client Implementation Engineer

The Client Engineering team at FINBOURNE work directly with our pre and post sales clients (who range from small start-up hedge funds to multi-national financial service providers) to understand their business problems and use cases. They then combine this with a detailed understanding of our products to help the clients to make best use of the opportunities offered by LUSID and Luminesce. Client Engineering are also involved in build-outs of client-specific capability and integrations, working directly with client stakeholders.

We are looking to hire an Engineer to join our growing team; someone who is adept at explaining product features to clients, helping these clients with their implementations, together with building clients-specific implementations. In this role you will have the opportunity to make kay contributions to the future of the product and shape how our clients interact with LUSID.

Key responsibilities: 

As part of the Client Engineering team at FINBOURNE, you will be working alongside our Sales, Customer Success and Engineering teams to help prospective clients make the best use of our LUSID and Luminesce products. This will involve explaining the product to prospective clients, crafting solutions using LUSID, delivering technical content and training as well as taking ownership of the full software development lifecycle (gathering requirements, designing, planning and implementing the features) to solve client-specific use cases and integrations.

Our aim is to provide a world class client experience, therefore we are looking for a candidate who has a relentless focus on customer service and engineering quality. As part of the Client Engineering team, you will play a key role in building a community of LUSID users, provide excellent product support to our clients, and be an active participant in our open-source communities.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate who enjoys working closely with and building relationships with clients, working in the financial services domain, as well as building technology-based solutions.

What skills, experience and qualifications we require: 

You will need excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to be able to clearly define and articulate solutions with both technical and non-technical audiences. You will already be working in a client-facing role, ideally at a SaaS or financial services software company.

Recent experience of writing code (C#, Python or Java) is required, however we are willing to develop someone in this area to get them up to the level required for the role. You will be working alongside highly experienced Engineers who are happy to provide training for you on the job in any areas in which you require support. We want to bring onboard people who are genuinely excited about what we are doing and have the capability and willingness to grow and learn from their colleagues.

Experience of working in financial services (e.g.: Investment Banking, Asset Management) would be advantageous, but not essential.
